Information and Outreach Volunteer Opportunity available in London and the South of England. UK-based volunteers only. Make a real difference in the lives of people affected by breast cancer and breast health concerns. Promote breast awareness and improve access to information and support for those who really need it. Volunteers needed to: Give talks promoting Breast Cancer Care?s regional and national services; give talks promoting breast awareness; represent Breast Cancer Care at local fundraising events; build contacts with local organisations and groups to promote breast awareness and Breast Cancer Care services; assist in the distribution of information to appropriate individuals, organisations and events In return, we offer you: The chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of people affected by breast cancer, or with breast health concerns; the opportunity to develop skills and expertise in a key area of service promotion; comprehensive training; clear and up-to-date guidance and tools for promoting breast awareness; and access to a wide range of free resources to assist you in your volunteering Flexible hours. Related expenses provided. No medical or clinical background required. All you need is enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to learn. We are working towards developing a volunteer base that accurately represents the diversity of the community in which we work. Please let us know if you have any particular skills or experiences which you feel may be relevant to this work. For example other languages, personal experience, member of local support group, local contacts etc.
